Waverley Softball Association

The Waverley Softball Association has been looking after softballers in Melbourne's eastern suburbs since 1961.

Today there are 7 affiliated clubs and games are played every Saturday in summer across all junior and senior age groups. Waverley offers competition standards to suit everyone, with t-ball for school starters, then primary softball with modified rules and two secondary school-aged divisions. There are 4 senior competition grades which means young adults, masters and elite Australian players can take the diamond in a leisure game or at the highest standard possible in Victoria. The Waverley Softball Association grounds are at Jells Park in Wheelers Hill. There are 9 permanent diamonds, club rooms and toilet facilities, batting cages and a canteen. Waverley Softball Association is recognised for its junior development programs and offers players the opportunity to join representative teams to play in softball carnivals in Adelaide and Canberra as well as to represent Waverley in state competitions. Each year the association hosts the Waverley Easter Carnival which attracts junior teams from around Australia and New Zealand for a 4-day competition.
